Giraffe Applique

By: Inessa Medina from picotpals.com
Giraffe Applique
Giraffe Applique

"This little giraffe applique works up quickly! You can make a bunch of them to create a bunting for a child's room. Or just make one to decorate a bag or use as a gift topper. I made two and used them to make giraffe baby booties! I used yellow, white, and brown acrylic yarn and a 3.25 mm crochet hook to make each giraffe. I attached 6mm safety eyes, however; you could easily embroider the eyes with black thread."

This little guy is absolutely adorable! I was just on this site a little while ago and people were asking for an embellishment for a toddler's cap. Here is a great one for yarn projects. But I think I'll make up several for newborn greeting card embellishments! It is indeed sooo precious!

I make so many infant and toddler items that Im always looking for unique appliqus to make my projects stand out from the rest. This sweet faced little project is perfect for either a boy or a girl. I generally use threaded beads or embroidery for the eyes when making appliqus. That way I dont have to worry about the back of the safety eyes poking through the fabric.

Aww how cute! I love making little crochet applique to put on hats, and this one will definitely be the next one I make!

Giraffe applique uses so little yarn. Applique can be attached and or used for a variety of things such as a gift box topper, baby blanket or any baby accessory as an embellishment. The giraffe is such a cute idea and would be awesome in a themed nursery or daycare room.
