Santa Hot Pad

By: momsloveofcrochet.com

Decorate your home with a Santa Hot Pad this Christmas. This is such a cute Christmas crochet pattern you'll want to make one for all your friends; they would make great holiday gifts, too. The shell stitch is used for a nicely textured pattern, which makes it even more unique. The look of Santa's face is fun and festive, so it's a perfect addition to your kitchen and dining room this Christmas.

I am currently making this hot pad. In reading ahead, it doesnt seem that the join front and back instructions are complete. Change to white in last dc, 5 dc in same sp as beg ch-3? What next? Shouldnt there be more instructions before join in 3rd ch of beg ch 3?

It is really cute but if I made it using the yarn the pattern calls for, which is worsted weight yarn, I would not be able to use this hot pad for a very hot dish- the yarn would melt. It'd be okay for a warming pad, though.

This is a cute idea but I wonder how effective it would be with a hot container sitting on it. It seems awfully thin for that, so Im thinking either backing it with red felt or even a matching solid crocheted square should work. As it is, it would also work well for a small placemat for a child, or even for a plate of cookies left for Santa himself.

Well shut the front door. Is this not the cutest hot pad project you have ever seen? I would never use this for a hot pad because of the type of yarn suggested here. No matter though it it was just for decor. It is adorable

I double dog dar ya to use this for a real hot pad. This is too cute to risk getting dirty. This one will earn a spot on the wall in the kitchen or on the table underneath an electric candle. Adorable

to cute! finishing up current project & then will make this. thanks for the pattern.
