Most of my senior ladies worked up doilies back in the day, but like me, working with #10 thread is just too hard on old eyes. This doily is versatile enough to work up using sport yarn, so while its not quite as delicate as a thread doily, its still very presentable. I still have several thread doilies worked up by my own grandmothers, and I cherish them to this day.

So very pretty to add a classy splash of color and interest to your side table in the living room. Or to use underneath your two small buffet table lamps to bring a touch of the holidays to your decor. I haven't worked with crochet thread in a very, very long time!
