What a cute idea for a childs scarf! While the designer has specifically created a teddy bear, with a few tweeks, you could work the ends as just about any critter you can think of. Be advised that the link above takes you to a general splash page, and youll have to enter the name of the project in the search box to get the actual pattern.

when wearing the scarf, the Bear 's head will be upside down as I see it. What about that? the cupcake scarf and others all have the decorations up the other way so they are right side up when tied on your neck.. can you explain to me? I have the yarn to make the BEAR Scarf. Pat Wardlow Pywardlow@me.com

I've made 7 of these now - the kids love them! I've made the size in the picture and then several that are longer (for 8 yr olds) so I had a start chain of 110. Then I made one into a kitten (check it out on Ravelry) and it's cute, too. Great fun pattern. I'm going to make some more to keep in my "gift stash". The two skeins make several of these scarves.

this is awsome..any ideas on how to alter to make it a duck? thanx, tess

Not as confused but another question. working on the head round 3 it doesn't tell you what stitch to use. It says working in back loops only. Join with a sl st. (30 sts). What stitch do we use. Slip stitch. Thanks in advance. Bye the way the body worked out beautifully and all ends of that tucked in nicely. Figured out the neck.

I am confused on how to do the neck. Could you please explain a little better for me. everything else is a breeze.
