What are the measurements of your finished blanket. 48 rows is not big enough. Do you mean 48 color sets (3 rows each)? Thanks

The designer did not give any specific measurements so depending on the yarn you are using it will vary. You can always find the gauge give for your yarn and then multiply that by the rows to find your desired size.
