Fortunes Crochet Shawlette

"Fortune's Crochet Shawlette was inspired by the corner to corner stitch, aka the diagonal box stitch. This twist on the stitch creates a lacier, open, summer-ready stitch pattern. The result is gorgeous and just right for year round; bunch it up for warmth, or stretch it out for a light as air layer on the shoulders. If you want a bigger shawl, you could try a thicker yarn, or even use the same yarn and add more rows. Its super easy, and once you get started, itll fly off the hook!"

I have not seen a pattern from Moogly that I do not like. This shawlette is no exception. The color is stunning, and the design is amazing too. I found a fortune hat yesterday, I think they would be a great set to give someone! Do you have any gift sets you like to make?

This fortunes crochet shawlette is so very delicate. It is amazing that it was inspired by the corner to corner stitch. The designer used a fingerling weight yarn so I know it is really just for show and not warmth but it is a beautiful piece. Really take a look at the edging. That is what really makes all the difference in the world.

Here it is, another fine quality crochet project posted on Moogly. I love that site. It is showing as an easy pattern, always a plus and there is an added bonus that you can purchase the materials you need via a link on the directions page. Thanks for sharing this project.

This pattern is gorgeous! I love how delicate it looks. This would look so good with so many outfits!

This is absolutely stunning!

I have been looking for a simple pattern to bring on a plane and here it is. I just finished a corner to corner shawl this week for a charity and I wish I had seen this pattern first. I already started it just to see if I could follow the pattern and I like it better. It is more open and it works great with the lightweight yarn. I have a stash of lightweight yarn so I can make one for every outfit and also for gifts - and charity. Thank you!

If youre ready to step up to a new level of C2C, this is a wonderful project to start with. The basic shawl shape is very repetitive, and the designer has included links to both a symbol chart and instructional video. The lovely intricate border is worked in place after the body of the shawl is completed. This project is also available to print off or download for your convenience. Minimal yarn used, too.

I love the look on this shawl so light and airy! My trouble is always that I live in the desert southwest so VERY rarely is it cool enough to wear any extra layer! I might give this pattern a shot and give it to my mother whose birthday is coming up soon!

Oh my, this is an absolutely gorgeous shawl. I am going to try to make this. Thank you for the free pattern and the great instructions. The instructions are very easy to understand. I had been looking for something to do in my free time this week and this looks perfect.

This is so beautiful and the color so eye catching. Actually I like it so much that I just know I will be making more than one. It is the perfect wrap to complement just about any outfit at all and would be equally appropriate to wear casually or to a more formal occasion.

The color purple is so regal. The open work stitching gives the shawlette a look of being casual/throw over your shoulder OR a drape it once over your shoulder and use a beautiful brooch to achieve a more royal look that is suitable for evening wear. It is very versatile! Nicely done -)

Shawls

This is a beautiful shawl! I'm looking for a pattern that will go with a dress for a summer wedding. Something I can wear outside that won't be too hot (yet keep me from getting sunburned) and something I can wear inside that will keep me from getting too cold in the air conditioning. I think this would be pretty in the light purple cotton/rayon blend that I found. I'm hoping it's as easy as it says!

This pattern is so easy to make. I made a longer version of this for my daughter in an Angora blend yarn, used a 9mm hook to lace out the pattern......and she wears it every where!!!
