This is a very pretty snowflake (check out this designers other snowflake patterns too), but the real treasure is the very thorough explanation of how to block your flakes. I needle tat so I already have all the supplies and materials because with tatting, you block just about everything you make. There is a debate about whether to wet first then block or do it the other way around. If using a commercial stiffener like Alenes, definitely block first.

This lacy snowflake pattern is so beautiful. I love that the designer used the crochet thread to make this. When you visit her site, you will also see other patterns for snowflakes. We all know that there are no two snowflakes that are the same, so get that steel hook to work.

My Mother made a zillion of these one year and we all got some of them. Now that I have inherited her collection, mine have doubled and every year, I decorate a separate tree in her memory with just the crochet items she made. I think it is time for me to add a few to the mix.

ull pattern can be found here https//www.petalstopicots.com/2013/01/pretty-picot == -snowflake-pattern/ . These are really cute snowflakes. I have already started on some Christmas items for this year. It always sneaks up on me each year then its too late to make anything. I also just recently came to appreciate the size 10 crochet thread. These are a great combination.

This pretty little lacy snowflakes would look great hung on a mantel. You could also make a long garland to hang up . And I like anothers comment about hanging them at different lengths. I'm sure they could be used in many different ways. Another commented mentioned curling and sometimes if your tension is too tight this will happen. So, I would try going up a hook size.

These would look great hanging for every window when I start decorating for Christmas at my house this year. Add some sparkle by spraying them with some sparkle glue paint so they will reflect the lights. This is an awesome design and the pattern is so easy to follow and understand.

This crocheted lacy snowflakes at beautiful. I haven't worked with thread in a long time. But I will be working up these for the holidays. I was thinking that these would be cute worked up, starch and then put a name tag in the middle for decorating your gift packages. They could remove the tag and they always have an ornament.

these are super cute! I think they would look great hanging at different lengths with clear twinkle lights in a window. Or, hang them from the dining room chandelier very festive for Christmas dinner! Snowflakes are so winter that you could make these in any colour and still be seasonally appropriate so, if you have pink/purple/orange/whatever dcor, you can make these to match and still have a wintery feel!

I love these pretty snowflakes, but every time I make them my edges curl up. I use the starch, but maybe I am not using enough. Have you had problems with the edges curling on you? Great idea for a window, garland, or Christmas ornaments. I would love to make several strands for a window design too.

Enjoyed this lovely pattern. Very easy to make. I just finished it and can't wait to get it starched and blocked. Thank you. Then...to make more
