Last year, I made up a bunch of these in #4 acrylic in red and pink. For my special needs son's day program, I stuck a lollipop through the center and made a big boquet by pushing the sticks into a styrofoam ball! I included a tiny safety pin on the back of each one so that people could wear the heart after enjoying the sucker. -)

Because these little five minute hearts are so easy and take so little material this will be one of those patterns I keep on hand to use up left over yarn, There are so many applications for these you will start looking for reasons to make more. I appreciate the short video that is on the directions page.

This is one of those patterns you save and use time and time again. Making these five minute hearts when you have a little extra yarn left over from a project will be just the thing needed to embellish a hand made project or something you purchased from the store.Hearts mean love and you could always add a heart to your projects.

The designer is spot on about these being Five Minute Hearts. Even her instructional video clocks in at just a bit over four minutes, so it could almost be considered a Crochet Along. I did have some trouble working all the stitches in the first Chain so I swapped that out for a Magic Circle instead. It worked just fine, and I had plenty of space for all the stitches.

How adorable are these quick and easy little crocheted hearts!! The fact that they are made with #3 thread instead of yarn makes them perfect for adding to all kinds of crafts. I strung a bunch of them together to make a Valentine headband for my little great granddaughter. The video tutorial is an added bonus. I'm definitely going to try different size hooks and yarns.

When they say easy, they really mean it. I can whip out a bunch of these in no time and use up my yarn scraps at the same time. I can glue one or two on a hair clip and my 9 year old grand daughter will be thrilled. Or make a mobile using them in different colors for her baby brother. If you fold them in half vertically, they will look like butterflies.

made these for my son's v-day presents at daycare. very cute and super easy to make!

Glad to hear that these are so easy to make and I wish I would have thought to bring them to my daughter's daycare, they would have loved that! I love that these are so versatile and could be used on almost any project!

Loved making these, they look so cute in my red bowl.

The smaller ones would be super cute attached to snap clip barrettes.

Always looking for ways to cover holes in my daughters jeans...I think these will do the trick and look cute at the same time.

That's a really cute idea!
