the tutorial kept saying see the photo....but there were no photos to show you how to make the last and most important cuts....thanks for the head ups...going to try utube.

I think using your old T-shirts to make this yarn is great. Lion Brand has some T-shirt yarn that you can get, but you won't get the same color twice in a row, so if you need some and you want YOUR choice of colors and not theirs, then this would be the way to make it and not have to pay $8.99 a cone for it!

I saw everyone's questions about the pics and although I am NOT the author of this tutorial, I have done this before, I made a couple of quick sketches to fill in the authors missing pics. Under Step #3 - the pic for it is actually the bottom pic under Step#2. STEP #4 -(TOP PIC) https://www.dropbox.com/s/ddff411c3vsj4nt/Photo%20Feb%2003%2C%2010%2055%2022%20AM.jpg STEP #4 -(BOTTOM PIC) https://www.dropbox.com/s/mrhlrebfdo5opb1/Photo%20Feb%2003%2C%201%2023%2042%20PM.jpg ***SUPER IMPORTANT NOTE*** Make sure that only the one section (single thickness) of the tshirt is on top of the rolling pin becasue you don't want to cut the tshirt in more than one place per circle. I hope that makes sense. If not, let me know and I will make another sketch to explain.

There are a lot of tutorials on YouTube for making T-shirt yarn, making yarn from clothing made of other materials and making "plarn" which is yarn made of plastic bags.

I can't find the pictures for steps 3, 4, or 5 either. Help

I was very excited to find this idea. Looks wonderful. Problem is I can't find pics for Steps 3, 4, 5 either. Any help or suggestions?? Thanks!

Duh: found the pic. Confused : do you put the rolling pin in the middle of the UNCUT top part of the strips to make the diagonal cuts ?????

directions say "see picture" for diagonal cut. THERE IS NO PICTURE ! HELP PLEASE !!!

Can't wait to try this. It looks really intriguing. I think I'll make a tote bag. Do you have any idea how many t-shirts it might take for a beach bag size?
