This Doll Sofa Tissue Cover is a very clever way to recycle your tissue boxes. Make a crochet doll toy for your little girl or simply decorate your tissue box. Get creative with this free crochet pattern.

Crochet HookG/6 or 4 mm hook

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Materials:

  • Worsted weight yarn - 5 oz. teal + 1 1/2 oz. white
  • Crochet hook size G
  • Fiberfill

Size= fits 4 3/4" wide x 9 1/2" long x 4 1/4" deep tissue box.
Gauge= 4 sc = 1"; 4 sc rows = 1".

BASE: With teal ch 36, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn [35sc]
Rows 2-23: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
Row 24: Ch 1, sc in first 12 sts; for tissue opening ch 11, skip next 11 sts; sc in last 12 sts, turn [24 sc, 11ch]
Row 25: Ch 1, sc in each st and in each ch across, turn [35]
Rows 26-52: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. At end of last row, fasten off.
SIDE (make 2): Row 1: With teal, ch 18, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn [17sc]
Rows 2-16: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. At the end of last row, fasten off. Holding ends of rows on Base and one Side piece tog., working through both thickness and easing to fit, join white with sc in end of first row, sc in end of each row and in each st across, fasten off. Rep. on opposite side.
RUFFLE: Row 1: With white, ch 107, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn [106sc]
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st across, fasten off. Sew to round 3 around Base and Sides of Sofa.
BOTTOM EDGING: Rnd 1: Working around Bottom Edge, join white with sc in any st., sc in each st around, join with sl st in first sc [104sc]
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in first st, ch 1, skip next st, (sc in next st, ch 1, skip next st) around, join, fasten off.
For Drawstring, weave 36" strand of white through spaces of Rnd 2.
SOFA TOP (make 2): Row 1: With teal, ch 8, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn [7sc]
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
Row 3: Ch1, sc in each st across with 2 sc in last st, turn [8]
Rows 4-5: Ch1, sc in each st across, turn.
Row 6: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across, turn [9]
Row 7-8: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
Rows 9-20: Rep rows 3-8 consecutively, ending with 13 sts in last row.
Rows 21-37: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
Row38: Ch 1, sc first 2 sts tog, sc in each st across, turn [12]
Rows 39-40: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
Row 41: Ch 1, sc in each st across to last 2 sts, sc last 2 sts tog., turn [11]
Row 42-43: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
Rows 44-55: Rep rows 38-43 consecutively, ending with 7 sts in last row. At end of last row, fasten off.
Working in ends of rows, sew top pieces tog. stuffing before closing.
For Trim, working in ends of rows, with white, sc across each end and curved edge of Sofa Top, leaving straight edge unworked, fasten off. Sew straight edge to top of Cover Base, bending and shaping Sofa Top around tissue opening.
SQUARE PILLOW (make 2): Row 1: With white, ch 9, sc in 2nd cs from hook, sc in each ch across, turn [8sc]
Rows 2-8: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. At the end of last row, fasten off. Join adding fiberfill.
ROUND PILLOW (make 2): Note: Do not join rounds unless otherwise stated. Mark first st. of each round. Rnd 1: With white, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook [6sc]
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around [12]
Rnd 3: (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) around [18]
Rnd 4: (sc in each of next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) around [24]
Rnd 5: Sc in each st around, join with sl st in first sc, fasten off. Join with sc stuffing before closing. Place Cover over tissue box, pulling drawstring tight.

I think this is an incredibly creative idea. My hat is off to you...I don't get into the tissue box covers, but this is something little girls will love..I love your couch...So many options could be added and different color combos..thanks for sharing this with the crochet community...
