It is hard to believe that this tote uses just one and a half skeins of cotton yarn. The braided handle is an original idea and I like that look. I think it is a way to reinforce the strength of the crocheted handle- which we all know is a tough one to do. SO, making it braided instead of stitched we get a real sturdy handle that will not stretch out with weight.

I went to the site where the nautical tote was suppose to be and got everything BUT! Why do people try to guide you over to other things when all you want is the pattern and none of the other STUFF???

Hi there, I just tested the link to the blogger's site and was able to find the pattern. If you scroll down a bit on The Stitchin' Mommy's page, past the picture of the nautical tote, you'll see the project materials and project directions. Thank you! Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet
