Keeping Yarn Organized

A few years ago, my grand-daughter asked me to make her a white afghan. I cut a clean 2 liter bottle (like soft drinks come) in half, inserted the yarn in the bottle and pullied the yarn through the mouth of the bottle and taped the bottle back together. The yarn did not tangle at all. I also washed my hands frequently (our hands can emit a yellow, oily substance that can stain the yarn) and used a while cloth on my lap. After a session of working on the afghan, I put it in a clean, white garbage sack. The afghan came out a pure white. I highly recommend putting yarn in a 2 liter bottle to keep it from tangling.
