This looks like such a cute pattern. I am looking for a sock or slipper pattern to make for the upcoming cold weather. My feet have already been cold this weekend, so I thought I better get a jump on it. I am wondering if these will keep my feet warm enough, since it looks like there are large spaces in the feet. I suppose I will just have to give them a try to find out.

I am finding the instructions a bit confusing. I really have to sit down and work this pattern. I like the overall design of the pattern. These socks look as if they would be lightweight on your feet and good for summer as well. I love socks and I have never crocheted a pair. So I think I will try these. Thank you.

The Lavender Chair always has exceptionally pretty projects, and these simple slipper socks are no exception. I really like how the toes and heel are worked in a solid stitch (my toesies are always cold) and accentuate the open work of the rest of the slipper. The only change I would make is to drop down a hook size or two when working the cuff as they have a tendency to stretch.
