Vintage Sweet Shawl

search

"If you're looking for a cozy, snuggly and supple shawl, look no further! The Vintage Sweet shawl is suitable for both beginners and advanced crocheters. I've made it in two shades, but it's easy to go wild and make it your own! The finished shawl measures approximately 1,50m in width and 75 cm in length. However, its easy to adapt as you can just increase the number of rows. I would recommend wet blocking for this shawl: it just makes the picots pop out so much more!"

The link to get the pattern for this Vintage Sweet Shawl takes me to Ravelry where the designer has it available for a free download. There is also a link there that takes you to an outside website call haakmaarraak where the pattern is listed in Dutch with an English option. Ravelry is a very reliable site and I feel safe in downloading from them.

This is a very beautiful Vintage Sweet Shawl. The pattern is well written and easy to read and follow. Just remember you chain 3 and turn your work at the end of the row and work into the stitch you just made. Some what like a corner to corner afghan. I saved this one and think I'll be making it. I love the vintage look of the trim on this shawl. I see that you should do the wet blocking on this one to get the right shape. I try to skip that part but after reading the notes I think I'll do it. I'm thankful to see that there are charts and pictures for this and they will be a good help to make sure I'm on track. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.
