The yarn used in this Vanilla Chai Crochet Shawl reminds me of vanilla ice cream with cheese. Oh so yummy, you want to eat it. I wish this was more bulky, wider and longer. Anyway this shawl is appropriate for not so cold nights and will look perfect on a dark colored top.

In this pattern you work your stitches into the spaces between, not the actual stitch. It may be slightly more difficult to see with this lofty boucle yarn. It just takes a tiny bit of practice. When doing so, it creates an open chain stitch. I cannot believe that it only takes a little more than 1 1/4 skeins of yarn!

Vanilla Chai is my favorite beverage and this may be my favorite new shawl pattern! It looks so warm and snuggly ...and easy and quick. I really don't like anything too heavy around my neck or on my shoulders. This seems perfect, simple but elegant looking. Don't know if I will make it for myself or as a gift but this is my next shawl project!
