Something seems wrong. I have had to restart this pattern several times. All I was getting was a very slim v-shaped piece. I notice in Row 9 it says 1 sc in each DTR and ch of Vsts. There is no mention of chs previously. I have been adding a ch between Vsts, and the pattern seems to work better. Is something missing from the instructions? I would really like to make this shawl.

I see the problem, now. I missed the ch in the vst.

I cannot see the pattern

I love the pattern....Do you have a pattern with this stitch in a poncho?

Caan this pattern another type of yarn, like Caron Simply Soft?

The yarn could be substituted, but you'd have to made adjustments for the gauge. Another option would be to use two strands of simply soft held together. Be sure to do a test swatch.
