Monday Blues Shawl

Even though this Monday Blues Shawl has all the deep, rich color tones of blue, you won't be feeling down when you're wearing this! The shawl crochet pattern has an understated triangle shape, and it can actually double as a crochet scarf because it is so versatile. The wave styling looks great with these blue colors, and the mix of dark and light creates a perception of depth that really sets this easy crochet shawl apart. The lightness of the fine weight yarn does not prevent this shawl from having fabulous warmth either.

Tried this craft? What did you think?

This Monday Blues Shawl is simple enough to be worn in the day time but dressy enough to be worn during dinner or a night out. The designer had good taste when she thought of using the various rich tones of blue for this type of scarf. Suitable to use for this project is a soft type of yarn.

The pattern is so pretty and yet it is so easy. Made with just single crochets, double crochets, and half-double crochets and in back loops only to achieve that ribbed look. I did not read what type of yarn is recommended, but I think, off the top of my head, I would use Red Heart Boutique for sure.I love the look that a triangle piece gives when wrapped casually around the neck. I love this pattern!

This looks easy enough. I have been looking for a shawl/wrap pattern to use for my niece's wedding. It's going to be outside in August so I'm looking for something to help me not get sunburn. Plus I'm sure the a/c is going to be on inside the building for the reception and I don't want to freeze. I've not had much luck with the yarn I've chosen but I think this pattern will work!
