This Mini Mochi shawl not only sounds Japanese but it also looks Japanese. The design is very appropriately named. I love the colors used here. Not too loud and not too drab. It has a good balance.

Im not sure how old this pattern is, but the link does take you to the Way Back Machine. Im also not familiar with the Mini Mochi yarn, but I do know there are other manufacturers who make similarly colored rainbow yarn. Im not so much interested in the entire project as those individual squares. If you are interested in the shawl, the instructions do include an assembly diagram.

I really love the rainbow colored yarn. This shawl is so eye catching. And it uses fine yarn which is my favorite to work with even if it is a pain sometimes. I also like that this is made with joined motifs. I think projects are so much quicker with motifs. The only part that ever feels time consuming is the joining , but once you get the hang of that it isn't that bad.

This Mini Mochi Flower Garden Shawl is very colorful and very pleasant to the eyes. The colors used are alive and vibrant. You can make this into a larger shawl if you wish to make it more dressy and fashionable. The squares used are just right. You can also make this in your favorite solid color. Cheers.

I've never worked with this yarn before, and I am floored at learning the ombre color effect is actually the YARN doing the work for us. It is beautiful and oh my gosh, I cannot tell you how impressed I am at seeing this. For me, motifs are so fun because I feel accomplished after completing just one- better than working row after row of a traditional afghan and feeling like it is taking you forever to finish it! It is a great project to take on the go because it takes up almost no space in a tote bag. THUMBS UP!!

Very pretty. I like the pattern inside the squares and I like the colors except for the outside row of colors. The bordering row of squares is a little too drab for the others that are made out of such cheerful colors. The outside row looks fitting for an item that is camouflage.

How beautiful!! And the motif looks fantastic. Like another person said, I think this would make a fabulous afghan!! I'm going to add it to my "to make" list. Thanks so much!!

It's beautiful!

This is the most beautiful shawl, I just love the colors. According to the pattern, it is the yarn that does all the work for you. I can't wait to make one for myself!

this is gorgeous and easy fun. why wouldn't this also make a beautiful afghan for the summer . i'm going to try it.
