This is actually not a shawl. It is a blanket that has love knots tied into each of the corners. The girl in the picture is simply modeling this blanket draped over her shoulders so we can see how the blanket looks. The pattern is a DROPS design. There are lots of free patterns available on this website also.

I don't see HOW I could ever call this a SUMMER shawl. Here in Florida summer days are triple digits and the lowest temp is75 degrees or higher!! Nice "coat" for winter.
