I can see the smoothness of the yarn used in this Black Shawl. I imagine touching the shawl and I feel the very soft texture of the yarn that has been crocheted together. The stitches used are very intricate creating an elegant and sophisticated lacy look. Go ahead, do this is any color you like and you will love it. Cheers!

A new site for patterns. I have not heard of ABC before, but so glad you shared their pattern so I can look around and see what other wonderful patterns they have to share. This written pattern only has one what appears to be a stock photo, but they do throw in a stitch diagram. It definitely needs more pictures but the diagram is great.

This lacy, crocheted black shawl would be stunning for a New Year's Eve party with a little black dress. I will say it looks very impressive to me! I admit, it looks a lot more difficult to make than the pattern reads. I could do this. Oh, it would be just as lovely in an ivory color as well.

Such a pretty shawl. Making all of those squares and triangles may seem tedious, but I find doing things this way gives a person a bit of a break while working on it. I am looking forward to giving it a try. It would make a nice present. It could even be adapted to make a blanket.
