Sprawling Chain Crochet Scarf Pattern

This free crochet scarf pattern has the best light drapery effect. The chain design makes it very whimsical, and it could be worn wrapped around the neck or draped along the shoulders to showcase it's wispy design. The chunky spaces between the bands of yarn are a great way to make sure that this scarf could be worn summer or winter. It only requires two skeins of yarn, and once you get the basic pattern down, you can just keep repeating to make the scarf the link you want. It also has a nice curved and ruffled appearance.

This particular cowl is less of a cold weather cowl and more of an exciting wardrobe accessory. Don't you love the open and airy look and feel to it? I know I do. I think it would SHINE for evening wear if it is done in a sparkle black or midnight blue. Just throw it on and go.

This shawl is so lovely it deserves a much prettier name! This looks like a complicated pattern, but its actually pretty easy since it consists of Chains and Double Crochet stitches. The only tricky part is remembering to increase the number of Double Crochets as you work the next row. The designer has worked this in pink, but it would be lovely in any pastel. Or go for the dramatic in a darker solid.
