-Beginning chains are twisted before joining. Lay the chains flat with back bars facing, hold one end in place, twist the chains once so back bars are again facing, then join with slip stitch in first chain.

So this cowl is a mobius design, which is twisted. Am I reading that right? If I am wrong, somebody correct me. Something like this is great to keep warm indoors during those really cold months. It is not so bulky that it is intrusive, you know? Seems cushy and soft- I can tell by looking at it.

What a lovely crocheted cowl! It's such an awesome fashion statement! It's also designated "easy" so it should make up easily. My youngish daughters would love one and they both have autumn birthdays coming up. This color would be perfect for one and the other would prefer shades of brown. If I get started soon I should be able to have them done in time to gift them.

okay, so I tried making this and got really thrown off by the twist in the chain. at end of row one it was upside down. I ripped it out and started again but I can't figure out how to work with the twist!! Is there a trick? I have made 2 attempted without success.

I have not yet made this Seriously Amazing Crochet Cowl, but I will tonight. This pattern has a nice 'twist' to it in the beginning, you really twist the beginning chain before you join it. I am so looking forward to seeing how this one comes out. I like that the written pattern is here on this page and I could print it out. So easy!! Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

Simple but elegant this Seriously Amazing Crochet Cowl. This would I guess stand out more if worn over a cream or mocha top. You could do this in another color of your choice. Great as gift for a friend, sister, mom, sis in law. Cheers!

Tried this craft? What did you think?

Seriously, this cowl is amazing and what makes it even better is that you can finish it in one evening. Bulky yarn is easy to work with and works up very quickly. So many different says the change this up with different color combinations. Just make the beginning chain longer and this could be worked into an infinity scarf.

Very pretty and because I already know that my daughter and I are going to have a tug of war I may as well may two. I already have a similar yarn in my stash and am thinking of making the 2nd one in a plain color, perhaps a denim blue. The fact that it is a quick project is also great because I really have a list of so many things to make.

Although this pattern calls for a heavier weight yard, it does not look too bulky. You can never have too many cowls here in New York City. The extra warmth around the neck always comes in handy.

iM GOING TO TRY THIS PATTERN,LOOKS REALLY NICE

I love this cowl---I usually prefer an infinity scarf to a cowl because I like the way the scarves lay better. But this cowl really looks full and nice. Love the yarn, too!

Easy pattern with a nice, textured look.

I love making crochet hats. I walk a lot, so I make different colored hats to match my coats. I also make a lot of hats for Christmas to give away to less fortunate adults and children.
