Mountain Cowl Neck Scarf

The Mountain Cowl Neck Scarf is as versatile as it is stunning. You can work this easy crochet pattern up as a crochet infinity scarf or two differently sized cowls, one of which even has a hood! The zig zag crochet pattern and the variegated fringe give so much life to this cowl neck scarf. Even better, the worsted weight yarn promises to be warm and protective against even the chilliest of winds, while the vibrant rainbow yarn makes the colors feel as fresh as summer. This crochet scarf pattern will be an accessory to remember this season.

This Mountain Cowl Neck Scarf is perfect for providing protection to the head and neck area when it gets very cold. It is a more stylish substitute for the the hat or beanie especially when wearing a hat is not your cup of tea.

I wish I could give this a score, but I have not made this hooded scarf...YET. I am so impressed with the look of the big hooded cowl in the picture above that I HAVE to make this for myself. I love that it is not BULKY but is drapey and light. It helps to keep your hairdo nice and not smashed down -) She also shows three other versions of this cowl in many other yarn types and colors. No stone unturned here!. what a beauty to wear and show off. Thank you, thank you for this pattern! I can't wait to get stared.

This scarf is just gorgeous, and the designer not only provides various sizes but how to work the color changes as well. I really appreciate that she suggests specific yarns and colors since hues on the computer are not always true to form. Ill be using the Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable in Gossamer. I bought this yarn before seeing this project, but the yarn knew. The yarn always knows.

To answer panakanics question below As shown in her pattern the designer used the following yarn Large Cowl Hood Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable in Polo Petunia Bernat Vickie Howell Sheep(ish) in Espresso(ish), Taupe(ish), Robin Egg(ish) Small Cowl Red Heart Soft Yarn in Wine and Chocolate Infinity Scarf Bernat Vickie Howell Sheep(ish) in Grey(ish) and Gun Metal(ish)

I love the pattern for the mountain cowl. It is easy to follow and it uses one of my favorite multi colored yarns, Red Heart Unforgettable, although I think it would look great in other multi colored brands or even completely solid. I also like that she gives directions for making it small, medium or large so you can have more or less room depending on the way you like to wear it.

What brand of yarn did you use? Love the way it worked up in this design!

I have a friend who would LOVE this! I think I know what her Christmas present will be this year...

I just love the look of this Mountain Cowl Neck Scarf pattern. The pattern is well written and a easy read as well, with beautiful colors. I make cowl for for all the grand kids and ladies in our family. They are so much better and not as easy to loose like normal scarfs for the little ones. This is a must do for me. Thank you for this free beautiful cowl pattern.

This looks so trendy! You'd be sure to get tons of compliments in this.

I love everything Julie does and follow her blog regularly! I'm not a huge fan of the colors she used for this cowl but that is all just personal preference and could be customized for everyone's style.
