This is an interesting set of instructions. You use a J size hook but regular #4 worsted weight yarn. The scarf is worked across the short row and consists of rows and rows of Single StitchChain1 combinations until the desired length is reached. Because it is a Mobius style of scarf, the fabric is twisted once before joining. And thats basically it.

I like this. I think I'm going to make one and see how it looks. I have some yarn with no project in mind for it. The length of five and a half feet before joining may be a little too long for the amount of yarn that I have so I may leave my unjoined as with a traditional scarf. Thank you for sharing.

I will try to make this pattern but I will be using a 5mm crochet hook. I am curious how much yarn is needed. I will post my results.

Please do post your results with using a much smaller hook, I am very curious how it turns out for you! I am so bad at converting between different hook sizes and then adding or subtracting stitches in the right amount for the project to turn out correctly. Love how quickly this scarf works up with the large hook though, so I'll definitely be attempting the pattern with the suggested hook size.

I like the idea of giving the infinity scarf a twist before joining the ends together. I don't know why I never thought of that before. It's constructed using simple single crochets. It's not really a big deal, the mystery of just how much yarn is needed. A scarf probably uses two at the most.

I realize that mistakes happen; errors slip by. However, I am getting more and more annoyed at patterns that don't state how much yarn to use! I left this person a message (on the page where the pattern is found). Unless I totally missed it which is possible. If any has made this, could you please advise as to how much yarn (skeins, yardage, etc.) you used. Thanks in advance!
