I was hoping that the buttons were functional but after reading the directions now know that they are there just for beauty. I would have a hard time trying to figure out how to make them functional so I guess if I do decide to make this my buttons will be for beauty as well.

This twelve inch pillow does have a lot of texture and design to it and even with a muted color that all shines thru. At my house, having a throw pillow in a color such as this would not be this beautiful for long. I can only hope that one day I will be able to indulge and purchase items that need not be kid friendly.

I not only love the look of this pillow, but also how simple and quick it is to make. I would make buttonholes on mine though. I find it easier to keep cushions clean when the covers can be removed. I no longer have a sofa, but I think adding one of these to each of my lazyboy chairs would look great!

I do think this pillow cover is deserving of a prominent place in my bedroom or living room! With such a simple to make pattern like this, having several different colors on the couch or on the bed, is a style must. Have you ever thought of pillows for gifting season instead of a scarf? Pillows, mandala art/wall hangings, and accent rugs are great options that I have been exploring myself lately.

A lot of crochet projects have a rather rustic look, but this is so polished that it looks commercially made. Its a small pillow (only 12 inches square), but it really packs a punch with that button detailing on the side. Ive sewn many throw pillows in my time, and Id put this one up against any corded pillow out there.

This is a pretty pillow pattern, and very adaptable. The designer gives instructions for how to make it bigger or smaller to fit whatever size pillow form you have. The buttons are just an accent so you don't even have to make buttonholes! I'm sure this pillow would look good in almost any solid color.

I love the way the solid color shows off this stitch! The buttons are an adorable accent as well. It was very nice of the artist to include the instructions for a larger or smaller pillow. The design has such a fresh elegant feel to it! With my trusty crochet guide and this pattern I think I'll have a pillow soon!
