Sweeper Cover or Mop



Cleaning supplies can be expensive, so save your money and crochet your very own mop covers. This free crochet pattern for a crocheted Sweeper Cover or Mop is an easy crochet pattern to work up using any color yarn you want. Instead of throwing away mop covers with each use, this crocheted version can be used over and over again. Just made this and love it! Fun to make. I agree about checking to be sure that the measurements fit with first row. I tend to crochet rather tight, so had to make a bit of an adjustment.

I like this! Before I came across the pattern I tried one on my own, it turned out ok. I don't like to single crochet so I used hdc and it worked out just fine. This pattern is a keeper!

One suggestion for this. If you have the kind of mop with openings in front to spray out cleaning solution you can do this. In the 3rd or 4th row of front sides leave 2 stitches unworked in the spot where the holes are on your mop, chain 2 in place of sc. This allows the solution to spray out better. You will have to line up the front sides with your mop as you make it.

Great, just what I was looking for! I recommend checking after your first row to make sure the length is right for your mop as this was a little too long for mine and I need to use a shorter chain.
