This really does look like dripping icing. This would be perfect to use as a basket for rolls and such on the dinner table as well as being used to corral all of those odds and ends that we tend to accumulate. Thanks for sharing the pattern.

I think this Dripping Icing Crochet Basket is so cool looking. I have to make one or two. The pattern is well written and so easy to follow with her pictures to help. I decorate cakes as a hobby too and this Icing basket will look great holding some of my tools sitting on my kitchen counter. I can just see this cool basket filled with so many kitchen items and given as a host gift. The cotton yarn will make this a sturdy basket that will be easy to wash as well. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet basket pattern.

I loved this pattern the minute I saw it. I collect baskets anyway, so unusual designs always attract my attention. Its a little hard to see from the photo, but the dripping pattern is also in the white part as well as going down into the darker color. The photos on the site give much more detail. I like the optional handles, but think I would have worked them in crochet as well.
