Sleazy Dress

By:

This dress doesn't leave much to the imagination, but that should make it one of those very simple crochet patterns, as there isn't much to actually crochet. The Sleazy Dress is not one we recommend to be worn at work. Size 7 hook is required for this pattern.

I love this dress. if i had the body for it i would wear it. Does anyone know the size?

Hi there. I am trying to figure out how to D/L this pattern and I have no idea, can anyone help me,please and thank you Bobbi I want to make this for my daughter.LOL

PERFECT NAME I ALSO THINK FOR THE YOUNG WOMEN THEY WOULD LOVE IT AS A COVERUP.

I think it would look great at the beach over a bikini.

Disappointed that a 'sleazy dress' pattern even made it on here. Definitely would NOT wear or make...Why is 'sleazy' even desirable?

See above comment....

I personally know the creator of this dress. I plan on making it at some point after I have a little more experience. I would only wear it at home though.

Afraid not...definitely not, actually!

I could see this as bedroom wear -can't think of anyone I know ever wanting to wear it any other place, not even over a body suit.

if i was single i might, not sure

NO Way even if I had that kind of figure!

Yes, but I'd most likely only wear it for my hubby.

I would wear this in a second if I still had that type of figure. This reminds me of the 60's and 70's when crocheted dresses and jumpsuits were all the rage.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually Tori Spelling was wearing a bathing suit similar to this. The top looks the same only crochet came to the middle and was attached to crocheted bikini bottoms and she was pregnant.

I really want to make this dress and make a few changes so somebody can wear it out. But I can't seem to be able to print the whole pattern. All I get (4 times) is from middle to end, everytime.. Can somebody tell me why this keeps happening. Thanks

I think this could be an undergarment (slip) for a sheer dress. Don't I wish I could wear it for a sundress?

Well I live in Maui and this will make a perfect beach cover up. I plan to make one for my 21 yo daughter and one for myself (yes, I can still rock this at 40!) Thanks for this very different pattern, love to see more like it!

Usually there is a SML table... Any ideas how to figure that out or am I missing something. I don't see the measurements..

I love it. It may not be for me but my daughter would love it too. I love all the free patterns I find here. Thanks for sharing. Can anyone explain what a trc stitch is?

It is Triple Crochet = Thread over hook three times instead of 2 times as in Double Chrochet.

I never would wear a dress like that, but that is just my personal taste. I also don't have any interest in making baby clothing or blankets or hats, or blocky sweaters, but I am inundated with patterns for those and no one bats an eye. I am 21 years old, single, with no children, so none of those things are of interest to me. i think it is excellent that patterns such as this are presented with as much freedom as any others.

To Slobhan. my comment from Goldenwren was meant for you to read

I love this!! As soon as I seen it my first thought was "a beach cover up!" I'm excited to make this one.

Well, I couldn't wear it...at least, not until I was in better shape...and I will probably never be that shape again! *sigh* However, it is still a cute dress and I could see making it for my daughter. She would love it...but still would put something underneath! I really don't see anything "sleezy" about it, either!

To the editors: I see you removed my comment. Was it too close to the bone??? Too bad. About 95% of your patterns I reject, but I keep searching for a real gem among the dross.

Madam, I have yet to see anything you have designed among any crochet or other dress patterns yet. Are you syndicated?

I really like it!! It would never fit me but in my younger years I certainly would have worn it - and yes, with a lining. I think the name of it is what's scaring most people - just the word sleazy is well, sleazy! But if it had a more accepting name, maybe something like summer evening dress or something better than sleazy, most would not reject it. This dress is no worse than displaying a crocheted bikini which all would accept without question. I am assuming this site is for everyone - including those who like a bit of sleaze now and then. It's better than seeing potholders, afghans, hats and shawls all the time. I think it's a bit of fresh air! It's just something different - if you don't like it click off it! We should all be tolerant because there is no room in this world for intolerance. If this truly affects your life in any kind of negative way, well then maybe you should unsubscribe because you never know - there might be another "sleazy" item posted in the future. And if this "has" affected your life in any kind of negative way you should work hard at practicing tolerance and at least try to open your mind a bit.

I think my husband would approve this patten. The dress should come with a copy of Miss Craigs 21 day shape up program, and that way byt he time the dress is done, you'll be in shape too. Esp. for all the extra play time!

My hubby would be TRILLED if I made this dress to wear for him! LOL I would never wear it in public of course.

it's a pattern folks, if you dont want to do it, click click click to the next one..are you mad because u cant fit into the dress? well i can post a picture of a tablecloth dress that will fit you better.. prude people..unreal!!!

I find it interesting that people would click on a pattern called "Sleazy Dress" and then get offended that it is a crochet pattern for a ...wait for it...Sleazy Dress. If you were expecting a baby bonnet you chose the wrong link. LOL I think it is a pretty dress, I could imagine it being worn with a pearly top. It's much more interesting than some of the plain square looking clothes patterns and it's easy (it says) but looks fancy. I'm thinking of trying to make it just to see if I can. No one is impressed by my scarves and washclothes and hats anymore. This might make a nice evening dress in the right colors...

i agree with you..bunch of prude idiots

I' m far from lily white, but I am surprised that you lowered your standards!

I may be wrong, but I think that the whole idea with this dress is to actually sew a separate, pale colored, fitted, slip type underlining to wear with it. It's doubtful that anyone would really wear it nude underneath, but I think it would be quite pretty with the underlining for the right event.

Tried to print this sleazy dress pattern, but only got, starting at the middle. tried two separate printers. Can't even get the picture, any reason for this? Thanks

SLEAZY is right and not what i expected on this site....i may have to rethink being on here if they waste my time with patterns like this.

are you kidding me?????

If I were young and pretty!

Nothing to do with dress, but does anyone have a dicky pattern? My husband wears them, goes around neck, then tucks in your coat....

that is sexy dress I might make one for my daughter she's 23 old enough to wear it lol.

Same thing I was thinking

Wow... this is the perfect name for that dress! Thanks, but no thanks!
