I love crocheted food items and I have no idea why. They are just fun and if you have little people in the house, it lends to a lot of imaginary play time. It will not be long before they want to cook real food in the kitchen.

When I see crochet items like this mustard filled hot dog I just smile. How clever to use something like yarn to create these items. Either for a child's play toy or something to make the kid in all of us to just not take everything so serious. This is darling.

I'm just getting into these fake food items I am seeing on here, like the donuts, cupcakes, ice cream cones, and candies. I think the best use for these is for pretend play. But I can't help but think these are so adorable I want to make it for myself just to have it to look at and admire! The ladies who make these patterns have such creative ideas. I'm going to try this! Are there fries with that??

I like to make different and unusual things to enter in the county fair. This would actually make a cute toy for a kid who has a play kitchen. At least youmdon't have to worry about it giving you colon cancer!

no, I wouldn't make this.

It's really cute, but what do you do with it?!

I love it. I have crocheted many pieces of food.! It is so much fun and easy to do. I think I have Crocheted everything from the book TASTY CROCHET and there wasn't a hot do in it! I am glad to have someone out there designing fun items like this!

OF COURSE !!! This is a fun project. I once made a crocheted donut for a former school mate that had just learned he couldn't have his beloved donuts any longer due to health reasons. The donut I gave him was just "what the doctor (and his wife) approved of"!!

Any pattern is good for practice, but this one is a little too much for me. I'd rather make something that's cute or to give away.

No --- it doesn't interest me. I'd rather make something wearable.

no, I would not crochet this!

It's cute but unless I was going to crochet it for a little girl to play house with then it would be a waste of good yarn.

I think it's so cute and I would definitely crochet it! Check out her website... she has lots of adorable and FREE patterns on it.

It's cute, but I wouldn't crochet it.

No way I would have no reason for it.

Yes I would crochet this. As a matter of fact, I already have. Then I did another one without the bun and put a corndog stick in it. I love crocheting food items.

itt's clever...children would play with in their play kitchens or @ pre-school, but then you would need enough for everyone:)

I think it's cute. Little girls would play with these in their EasyBake ovens. Also, I think you could make it flat and use as potholders or hotpads for the table. Make 2 and sew together so you would have the extra heat barrier. s cute

I love it. I'm looking for an ear of corn that is actually a pan handle holder (wraps around the handle as a hot pad).

you might wish to try http://www.karensvariety.com/NEWSLETTER/Patterns/Corn.htm This is knitting pattern for an ear of corn pan handle holder with the leaves only crocheted. Hope this helps. Linda.

Also, there is a crocheted pattern at http://www.e-patternscentral.com/detail.html?prod_id=3287 It is only $2.29 each. Linda.

waste of yarn and time!!!! doesn't appear to be something cuddly a child would want or something useful an adult would want

with all the organizations out there that need crocheted items it seems a bit of a waste

have made it for my granddaughter an she loves it. and have done a burger too nitetyme

I would make this for every dieter on my list!!! It's the cutest... now where's the burger?

Trying to get the pattern for the mustard filled hot dog but i am being blocked. Is this pattern still available.

@Gale 316, Yes, the pattern is still available! We just tested the link on our end and it seems to be working fine. Simply click on the link above that says "click here for crochet pattern," and you will be directed to the original pattern designer's site. I hope this helps! --editors of AllFreeCrochet
