Splashes of Color Crochet Wall Hanging
Let's say you want to add some color to your office, but don't want to (or can't) commit to painting the entire wall. What's a crocheter to do? Grab some yarn and get to work on this easy crochet pattern, of course! The Splashes of Color Crochet Wall Hanging includes a multitude of colors that can complement or enhance the decor of any room. This pattern, which uses several crochet stitches, is an easy way to use up some of your yarn leftover from other projects, too. For some additional flair, don't forget the fringes at the bottom.
Crochet HookM/13 or 9 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Materials List
- Heavy worsted or light bulky yarn in 3 different colors
- M/13 or 9 mm hook
- 12-inch wooden dowel
- Yarn needle
- Scissors

Just the name of this project took me back to my macram days. This is really more of a sampler. In fact, if it were a little narrower, and longer, it would make a lovely scarf. If I were making this as a hanging, I would use a longer dowel than in the photos. Or you can wrap a rubber band around each end several times to keep the stitches from sliding off.

My sister-in-law is pregnant, with the baby, a little boy, due on 7 February 2017. I am thinking of making this for the nursery in bright, bold primary colours. To add a pop of vibrant stimulating colour to the room. What do others think? Is it a good idea or something I should steer away from?!

I think it would look great! And perhaps if you so desire could also make appliques of the animal(s) of her choice, a momma w/1-2 babies trailing behind her - to attach into the all white section?? To me anyway, that would make it more of a 'baby' item super cute as well )) Wish you could post a pic if/when you make it or can you?? I have no clue how it works here
