Texas Longhorn Hat

search

Texans, this crocheted hat is for you. The Texas Longhorn Hat is a fun and playful hat to make for the big football fan in your life. You could also make this crochet hat for the college kid in your life that attends the University of Texas. Just two skeins of worsted weight yarn are needed to work up this unique hat. Red Heart Super Saver yarn was used here (Carrot and Buff), but any type of worsted weight yarn will get the job done. A bit of stuffing is also needed for the horns (which are optional).

My youngest sister has lived in Austin for many years and she hates the Longhorns. Of course, being a U of F Gator may have something to do with that. Her husband actually worked for UT, so hes a fan. I may need to leave off the horns and ears (really well written and photographed!) but the beanie part is perfect.
