I love the look of a cable hat. I learned to knit when I was eight years old, but never really stuck with it. So Im not nearly as proficient a knitter as crocheter. Whats so nic about this hat is that it looks like a knitted piece more than crochet. Does there need to be a correction made as the hat is actually made from the bottom up, not the top down?

Oh wow, this is a great Not Your Basic Crochet Cable Stitch Hat. I like that it is made in a tube then closed at the top. It creates a nice pattern at the top, great for a pom pom. This pattern is very well written and easy to follow with nice clear pictures to walk you through. So easy! Looking forward to whipping a few of these up. This pattern makes cables so easy I think anyone can make it. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.
