Lolly-Poms Ribbed Crochet Beanie

Add a pop of color to your fall and winter wardrobe with this Lolly-Poms Ribbed Crochet Beanie. This beginner-friendly crochet hat pattern is so easy to work up that anyone can do it. Make a matching hat for all your family and friends!

From the Blogger: "This fun and easy ribbed crochet beanie can be customized to any head, and you can make it with or without the fold-up brim. It's made in a tapered rectangle and pulled together at the top, sort of like a drawstring bag. Then top it off with a pom-pom of your choice. I chose a faux fur pom-pom, but any will do!"

My hat looks great. Thank you for the pattern.

This lolly poms ribbed crochet beanie looks like it can stand the harshest of winters. It looks thick and squissy with that adorable pom on the top. Who says functionality can not be attractive. Thanks for sharing this pattern.

I love ribbed crochet hats and this Lolly-Poms Ribbed Crochet Beanie is one I will be making. This one is so easy to whip up and it looks nice. I'm not a big fan of buying pom-poms, so I'll be making mine to add. I wish there was better directions for the way she closed this hat or pictures on how to do it. I have made many hats so I'll just do what feels right to me. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet beanie pattern.

Im always amazed at how you can work a crochet stitch to so closely resemble knitting. This looks exactly like a knitted toque and is just as versatile. You can wear it long like a slouch, or rolled up the bottom for a brimmed beanie. The top closure is covered by that huge furry pom, or you can pinch it together like a stocking cap. Thanks for finding this one!

Hi telediv, Thanks for the heads up! The blogger's site might have been down or just having a moment - I just checked and the link works just fine now. Try again! :) Julia, AFC editor

Thank you!

I have been looking for just this style of hat for my 14 year old. I would like to make it in black with red accents, and I favor the extra wide brim to fold over. He likes the look of that. So, Vanna's choice is the pick? This will be my first time crocheting with it. Looking forward to going out tomorrow to buy my supplies!

Excellent pattern, really simple but looks great when finished.
