fuzzy hat pattern with earflap

Love, love , love this design and it appears to be easy to make!!

Please can someone tell me if this pattern can be done either with a G or a J Hook?

Love the hat have made a few already, but I need help. I'm not good at making the tassels. Can anyone please help? Also my daughter wants me to crochet soccer balls on the ear flaps and put name on where the design part is.I did try a cross stitch but it didn't look too good. Please if anyone can help!!! Sabrina

mysticfall69, to make tassels, this is what i do. For a two color tassel, I cut 6 of each color 36" long. Pull all twelve pieces through one of the holes near the point of the ear flap. Even them up equally (18" on each side). For braiding, take 4 pieces from top and 4 from bottom, middle part will have 2 of each color and 2. Then start braiding. I secure the bottom with a piece of yarn wound a couple of times and then tied into a knot. For the name, this is what I did for one of mine, when you make the hat crochet in back loops only. In the front loops, after hat is finished, slide hook in loop and chain, then slide hook in next loop and chain, continue, shaping whatever alphabet letter you are doing. Finish off letter. Then start your next letter skipping a space. Hope this is easy to understand.

Buy an applique and stitch it on

Enjoyed working this pattern! I am not a master crocheter by any means - so i was real pleased with the results for this pattern. I've never worked a "fair isle" and found that a little challenging for the first time - but I would most likely work it again now that i understand the concept a little better. I used the medium/large scale and it just fit my teenage daughter. USed the Simply Soft Caron - but in different colors. Thanks for the pattern.

This is the hardest patter to make a copy it keep going to different websights and I can not find it to print. I am very upset.

I really like these kind of hats to wear on our cold winter days here, I am going to make it for my next project. thanks.
