Finishing

With wrong sides held together, sew the hat band seam. Using photograph as a guide, slip the band over hat close to brim, placing the seam at the back of the crown. Tack band in place if desired. Shape the crown by pushing the center of the crown in about 1 (2.5 cm). Roll up the sides of the brim. Pull the front and the back of the brim down for a more stylish appearance. With A, tack brim in place if desired. Weave in ends.
