When I was little I remember my grand mother having something like this on her bed. That's exactly what I want it for, my bed. But I want to make it in an off white or ecru color. That way if I change the color theme of the room, I just need to change the blanket underneath it.

This is actually one of the easiest granny squares you can work up. The designer provides the crafter with step by step photos as well as instructional videos for both right and left handers. None of the stitches are difficult as theyre just the basics that even most Beginners can master. This would be such a nice baby blanket worked up in pastels or even bright primary colors.
