Hi everyone. Thinking of making this afghan. Can anyone share a pic of theirs and share their opinion on making it? Thanks a bunch!

I am working on this and have been for over a year. I used a 3 row Granny Square and the guitar is big. I am thinking of modifying it so that I can finish. It is a lot of granny squares.

I have made it and have photos, do you want one? It covers a 2 seater sofa or a single bed. Using 3 'rounds' to the squares.

Could you share a pic please? I would love to see how it turns out before I make it

Hi Im Ann I am in the middle of crocheting your granny square guitar afghan at the moment. Looks good. Do you want me to send you a picture when it's finished.

This makes an excellent chart for a quilt too. It can be made as a wall hanging or a bed size quilt depending on the size you make the blocks.

How can you post this when you never made it??? It's a lot different drawing something on graph paper than actually crocheting it. I don't feel you should post a pattern unless you've actually made it!!! I'm just saying!!

A square is a square, you can adopt the crochet squares easily to the graph. I did it and it looks great. The size to fit a 2 seater sofa or a single bed.

You can also use most cross-stitch graphs for patterns.

Honestly, I would love to see the actual afghan

my son will love it

You can design your own granny square afghan! All you need is graph paper. Each square on the paper is 1 granny square on the afghan. I love granny square patterns that depict a favorite item. I made afghans that said 'mom' and 'dad' with granny squares, as well as one with a flower. You start by graphing your design (flower, guitar, snowman or whatever), then fill in the rest of the afghan to make the rectangle, square or your desired shape. You have then made something very creative and specific to the recipient.

I would love to have more patterns like this. I have one with a snow man that I have been making for years and have been hunting for more of them. Ty for the pattern

I absolutely LOVE these kinds of granny square afghans but I have only a few patterns. I'm looking for something to make for my newest grandbaby. I made her sister a duck and ducklings in puddles of water. Can anyone tell me where I can get these patterns? Thanks so much! Cookie IzCookie@aol.com

I made this afghan last Christmas for my 16-yr old grandson who is really into guitars. I used Red Heart Yarn coordinating the colors in his room. I used coffee for the guitar and buff for the background. To help accent this "guitar picture" I made a border of squares around in coffee. I also increased the size since he would enjoy the bigger size. It really came out beautiful and he uses it for a throw on his bed. Happy Crocheting -- it's a fun project!!

I love making these kind of granny squares that actually have a picture of something for the individual that I'm making it for. I'm now looking for a granny square afghan with ballet slippers that I can make for my 2 yr old grandaughter's newly decorated room. Can anyone help me out so that I can go up a notch with my daughter-in-law please?
