My mother was an avid coffee drinker. She loved her coffee black, no sugar or cream. I do not know how she did it. I am the type that loves to have a little coffee with my sugar/cream. I think this corner to corner coffee crochet granny square would be a great wall hanging for the kitchen just above the coffee pot.

As to date, I have practiced the corner to corner technique but I have yet to complete a full project. I was hoping to find something small just so that I would feel accomplished if I created successfully a simple project. I think this is the one. I have a day off tomorrow and this is the perfect project to complete.

This really looks like a cup of hot coffee or tea. I like the idea given of using this Corner to Corner Coffee Granny Square at a pot holder. The picture in the blog gives me a great gift idea of including one with a basket of coffee and perhaps a mug. Too cute!

There are certain criterias for "granny" squares, this meets none of them accept the square. Just call it a square, Granny squares 1st criteria is a circle you crochet around and make them in the round, not row by row. But I like the C2C square which that is exactly what this is NOT A Granny!

Ive worked many a granny square in my day, but never one thats corner to corner. I have a few charts for some Game of Thrones motifs, and someone in one of my crochet groups suggested I use this method. This little square would make a great practice piece for me, and I can see it doing stand alone duty as a coaster.

I love my coffee! This trivet/pot holder/super-size coffee coaster is simply adorable! I see the pattern played out in each square to make it easy to follow the color changes. I bet a crocheter could work this up in under an hour. The turquoise color is on point!

This is adorable. I see a table runner, place mat or coasters in my future. Or all of the above. I have so many patterns of food, drinks, fruits and vegetables that I should make a wall hanging for the kitchen or dining room. Thank you for sharing this idea to add to my file.
