I love this hatespecially the little stuffed muzzlebut I have a problem with the button eyes. I just dont feel comfortable using buttons on anything a baby might put into its mouth. Since you already have to stitch the nose on the muzzle, it would take very little additional effort to crochet a couple of black circles for the eyes. Just as cute, and much safer.
