This is a lovely baby blanket, and that lacy border sets it apart from most of the others Ive seen. After the first establishing row, Row 2 is repeated until the desired size is reached. The border is worked without fastening off, too. The designer has embedded a two part instructional video including an option for a Left hand version as well.

Since the designer made this blanket for her son, I might have thought she would change the name to the Dukes baby blanket pattern instead of Duchess even though it is crocheted with the Duchess lace stitch. Either way, it is a pretty pattern for a handsome little boy. This will be the perfect baby shower gift.
