These patterns are more unique than you might realize. Your typical crochet baby cocoon pattern is something for baby to be swaddled in, but did you know you can make a baby cocoon photography prop? That'r right! That's where all these fun baby crochet patterns come into play. You can also find them in our fabulous eBook 11 Crochet Baby Cocoon Patterns!

4 Baby Crochet Patterns: Animal Cocoons

Free crochet baby patterns can be worked up in a short period of time whether they're for your little one or a friend's. The summer months are the most popular time for a baby to make his arrival into the world. Because of this, the weather is warm so you might not need to make free baby afghan patterns, but a cocoon will do.

Owl Baby Cocoon- This cocoon is by far one of my favorite baby crochet patterns of all time. How can you resist a sweet little owl face like this? This would make an adorable baby cocoon photography prop!

Giraffe Baby Cocoon- Here's where your colors and patterns can become really creative. Using different colors can produce different projects. Try using red and black to make a ladybug cocoon with this free crochet baby pattern.

Mermaid Cocoon- Now I know a mermaid isn't quite an animal, but I couldn't resist sharing this design with you. Not only will she feel cozy wrapped up in her cocoon, but you can get so many cute photos.

Robot Cocoon- Again, this isn't quite an animal, but a crochet baby cocoon pattern like this one is too cute not to share. This cocoon and hat set would also work as a Halloween costume!

Now I know you love all these baby crochet patterns so be sure you check out our latest eBook: 11 Crochet Baby Cocoon Patterns. You cand find the cutest cocoons to swaddle baby in or use as photography props. Download it for free today!
