Bow Dazzling
Bow Dazzling is a non-profit organization that provides bows and headbands to girls undergoing treatment for cancer and other serious medical illnesses to give them encouragement and confidence. You can help by sending crochet headbands using soft yarn and/or crochet flowers, bows, and other cute items that we can attach to clips and headbands. The girls love to select a special new headband and bow while in the hospital or at a specialty clinic for a doctor visit.

Yes, any headband pattern is ok. Thank you for asking. The girls have opportunity to select a headband and bow each time they are admitted or scheduled for follow up. So, even for beginners, Bow Dazzling is a great way to give by making headbands simply with a single or double crochet stitch. Having a variety of plain headbands allows the girls to match their headband to their bow. Of course, we love to receive adorned headbands, too.

I really want to donate. Am I supposed to make headbands with bows and flowers though? Not sure if this is a silly question.... like, can I make a headband with a heart, a cloud, or even a cat or something attached instead?

Bow Dazzling would love to receive your donations! The headbands received that have secured adornments are definitely welcome and so sweet for the girls, but plain headbands, preferably made from soft yarn, are always needed. Adornments can be flowers, bows, clouds or even a cat :-) and you can secure them to the headband, if you wish, or we can add the clips. The clips provide more versatility for the girls so they can attach the bows to a headband, a cap or their hair, or simply wear the headband. Bow Dazzling Volunteers are AWESOME and all donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your interest!

Yes, this nonprofit is active. The facebook page regularly posts pics of donations and announcements for local monthly bow parties where free classes are given & items made for donation. To date, over 8,000 ribbon, fabric & crocheted or knitted bows, flowers & headbands have been delivered to local hospitals & specialty clinics. Bow Dazzling gladly accepts monetary & crafted donations through the address listed above & greatly appreciates everything volunteers offer.

This is a wonderful organization that provides hairclips and headbands for girls, from NICU on up, dealing with serious medical issues. All items are made by volunteers and, so far, there have been over 6,475 bows & headbands donated to local hospitals & specialty clinics.
