Night and Day Wrap

Use this easy crochet pattern to make yourself something great to wear day in and day out. It's a great winter pattern to wrap up in and it works up unbelievably fast. This free crochet pattern is made with two vertical strips which are joined in the middle while working.

So here we have a wrap that is constructed in three separate pieces. Well, two solid color rectangles with a third section that is like an open weave mesh which joins the two together. A very inventive and creative way to construct a wrap, I must say! I am not familiar with this yarn, but it sure looks luscious!

I'm going bald trying to figure this out. The main colors are quite simple. Putting it together is horrible. Easy enough for those who designed this travesty. No video, no response to questions. I'm trying to follow the picture as well as the instructions. A few years ago I started crocheting again after a 40 year hiatus. Many new exciting stitches and patterns. I'm careful to select easy, and have mastered a few intermediate designs. Four ways to connect the two panels none seems to work. Totally frustrated with this pattern.

Hi mzparkr, is there a particular part of the middle section that I can help with? There should be videos on YouTube for single crocheting around a post for example, or even for identifying how to crochet along the edge of a pattern. Unfortunately I'm not finding any other comments on the Red Heart site or elsewhere for tips and tricks for that middle section, but I'm happy to help troubleshoot if there's anything specific within that middle section I can help with. Please let me know.

The yarn shown has been discontinued. After some research, a boucle yarn is a good substitute. I found it at Hobby Lobby.

Love these colors. The black, white, and grey are so contrasting but they blend together so well. This wrap looks like it is a very warm accessory item also. It also has some light and airy openings that allows what you are wearing underneath to be seen through the little peep holes.

I can't see the pictures today...

Hi reginasimpkins, We transferred a lot of our older patterns to a newer template, and so a lot of our older patterns had images that are too small for this template. We're in the process of finding and replacing these images so please be patient with us! Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet

This beautiful Night Day wrap pattern must have been made especially for me, lol! It is exactly what I like, the pattern is gorgeous, I love the colors AND it is rated Easy. Perfect! If I did not already have so many other crochet project in progress I would begin making this wrap today. Winter will soon be here in South Africa and this is going to be one of my favorite things to wear.

So gorgeous. The black and white combination in any item especially in clothes often speak of good taste and elegance. This Night and Day Wrap is beautiful. But for me, the problem is with wraps and shawls you have to always watch the shawl from slipping off your shoulder unlike scarves and cowls that are more secure around your neck or shoulders.

I am unable to open this pattern link, even when I go to Coats and Clarks directly.

Lucky you. Five years later, I am trying to make it and sorry I attempted it. First, the yarn is discontinued. Next, trying to find a comparable yarn, which I did. Making the two panels is very easy. It's the middle section that is driving me crazy.
