How to Crochet a Drop Stitch

  1. Start with three double crochet, chained two, three double crochet, chained two, and three double crochet again.

  2. For the last two chains you do insert Color B, and then do the two chains with Color B.

  3. Do two more double crochet. Now you are going to yarn over and insert your hook one row below, meaning you will crochet over your chain two. You will yarn over, insert your hook into the stitch below, and crochet over the chain two.

  4. Then, you will complete your double crochet. 

  5. Repeat this process until you reach the end of your work.

  6. To make another row, start by chaining three, still using color B, and turn your work. 

  7. Do two more double chrochet and then chain two. 

  8. Repeat this process until you have to chain your final two.

  9. Change your color again (back to color A), and chain one to secure it, turn your work, and do two more chains. 

  10. Repeat steps 3-5 with Color A. Then, repeat the whole process to complete your work.
