This is the perfect yarn stash busting project. It does not take a lot of material to make these and they can easily be stored. When an occasion comes up that you want to give a gift card you will be ready with a home made crochet gift card holder to surprise your family and friends.

As time goes on, people are more okay with giving gift cards. I think they can be so impersonal. For my closest family and friends, I pride myself in giving thoughtful gifts but there are a few people I have no idea how to shop for. This crochet gift card holder makes gifting a gift card a little more personal. If nothing else it does show that you gave a little of yourself to make the holder.

These gift card bags are such a great idea! If you are in need of a cute way to give a gift card, this should definitely be considered. There are so many yarn colors available, you can make a bunch and have them on hand to give people. This pattern is so pretty and easy to follow!

What a sweet idea. They are so cute and you can make them in traditional blue for a boy, pink for a girl, or go neutral with yellow or green. Why not blend all of the above? If I were giving it to someone close, I would embroider their name on it and I am sure they would love it. I did that for someone and they hung it on the door knob of the baby's room.

I love how the designer has worked these gift card holders to look like miniature baby blankets. The little charms really set them off, too. Since the holders are worked in Single Crochet, they would also make the perfect canvas for any other designs you might want to work over them. Personalizing them with the recipients monogram would add a very nice touch.

Wow this is a good idea for a gift card holder. Perfect as a gift. Here's the link to the pattern http//www.petalstopicots.com/2014/02/crochet-gift- == card-holder-pattern-2/
