I live in a small town and I am always seen out somewhere with my crochet bag. Ladies are always curious about my crochet and will sometimes sit and watch and ask a zillion questions. This is just the pattern to have handy when such an occasion arises. I can get them to make this and perhaps induct a new crocheter.

This simple flower can be used alone or with other projects. It was originally intended as an accessory to the designers adorable Baby Button Headband (see the link at the bottom of the page). The center hole is large enough to fit over a decent sized button. The designer gives very clear step by step instructions and photos, so this is a snap to work up. I use flowers all the time on my hats and other projects, and have already added this one to my pattern collection.

The Simplest Crochet Flower Pattern calls for medium weight yarn using a size f hook. I wonder how the project would turn out if I used a thinner yarn or even still a thread. If the pattern works up quickly enough, I could use these as embellishments on any crochet creation.
