This is just about as easy a project as youll ever find. Bulky yarn, big hooks, and just a few repetitive rows, and voila! Instant coaster! These are the perfect way to use up those scraps and skein ends. I like these chunky coasters, but I really love that owl mug! Wonder where she found it? Wonder if I can copy it in crochet?

I am really liking this Hudson Bay colorway, the more I see it being used in all sorts of crochet projects. For these simple square coasters, we just crochet four rows of double crochets. Could this be any easier? I could make a bunch of these and join them together in a checkerboard fashion and i would have a neat matching table runner or centerpiece.

Here is another easy mindless crochet pattern to make while watching TV. It uses a super bulky weight yarn and a large N hook. This pattern only uses single crochet and double crochet stitches. I also liked the Lion Brand Thick Quick yarn that was used in the sample. Great for a gift set!
