Cloud Lace Coasters
These classic coasters are a great way to add a homey touch to your home decor. Worked up in a beautiful cream color, this free crochet pattern is practical and pretty. The yarn does an excellent job of soaking up excess liquid from your glasses. This is something cardboard coasters just cannot do. Plus, if they get dirty, you can always wash them in the washing machine with your kitchen towels. They would make a great hostess gift, too.

These are just so lovely in the solid white that Im reluctant to even suggest any other colors. Im thinking possibly some very light pastels as the beauty of this project lies in the stitches rather than the color or texture of the yarn. In addition to making coasters, these dainty squares just beg to be joined together for placemats, too.

What a very pretty coaster set. It is so delicate looking. And the bonus is that it is so easy to do. Easy, pretty and inexpensive, what more could you want from a pattern? I think a matching table runner would be perfect. How complete that would make this. Or maybe sew some of these together to form a place mat?
