Now this is my type of bag. I have a mountain of them already but this one is what I like to call practical. It is large and roomy and this color here would go along with anything for all seasons. It is so basic but classic. Not like a need another bag but I am going to make it anyway.

I can see me using this bag for practically everything. The loop at the top is great to carry or place over your shoulder. It is just the right size to be a beach bag if needed but I could also use it on a daily basis. I like the neutral color but I want a more vibrant bag so I think I will use a different yarn for the beige color. Thanks for the wonderful free pattern.

Nicely designed Summer Stripe Crochet Bag! I love its shape! It looks to be just the right size. The neutral colors are great although I think I'll be taking mine a shade or two darker...maybe Santa Fe Tweed and El Paso Autumn. I'm notorious for stains and the darker colors will hide them easier! I'm still thinking about whether I want the poms and at this point I think I'll leave them off.

I would definitely recommend a row of stitches around the base oblong otherwise it is impossible to pick up stitches in the back loop only. Very simple to make. I used left over wool and have donated it to a charity shop

This was a fun one to make. I changed it up a bit but used the basic stitches. It's very easy and I finished it over the weekend, including lining it. I picked my favorite color and now I am thinking I may not give it away. That's my biggest problem making these. I see something I want to make for myself and then someone sees it and wants one and I give it to them. Thank goodness this is an easy one to make.

Love this bag, it is so cute. I like the larger size of it. I would rather make it using cotton yarns to eliminate the stretch factor. Would make a great beach bag or errand bag with all of its roominess. The neutral colors will go with almost any outfit you are wearing for that day.

Thanks for this great pattern. I made the bag and it came out very well. It's proven to be very handy, and I've used it much more than I expected to. TY!
