Sturdy Errands Bag

search

This bag is perfect for all your grocery needs as it's nice and sturdy. The stripes are fun because it adds a little something extra without it being too much design for your liking.

This is a mid-sized (9 inch x 12 inch x 3.5 inch), sturdy bag. The pattern is very simple and works up rather quickly. I used cotton yarn for mine, as the pattern suggests. I love the knotted, rope-like handles. The grommets really add to the strength, look, and value of the bag. They would make cute lunch, treat, or gift bags.

I think Ive just found the perfect book bag. Our local library does sell some canvas bags, but theyre pretty drab and the only decoration is their rather uninspiring logo. I like how this bag is worked as a box shapeall the better for the books to fit. And since its a Yarnspiration project, the free download can be found here http//www.yarnspirations.com/lily-sugarn-cream-bag == -to-crochet/SCC0103-005709V.html

This bag is really attractive. Not your typical bag as the handle is unique. This would be the first crochet pattern that I have created that included a grommet. I hope the finished project turns out okay. I am concerned with the sturdiness of the grommets with the way the directions are given.

Very cute. This bag looks like the little recyclable lunch bags. I love working with this yarn it is so easy and simple and I rarely have any issues. These bags also work as nice gift bags. Its sort of like giving a gift within a gift. Earth friendly and reusable. Customization is so easy to do also to make it fit whatever size you need it.

Oh, I so love this! So far I have only done easy or beginner projects. I think this will be a perfect project for "moving up". But so far, just looking at the pattern I don't understand Work in sc for 11 ins [28 cm]. Is that in place of how many rows to work to get how tall the bag is? Also is the gusset to mean the sides as well as the bottom? Sounds like a bit of a challenge, but I think I will be up to it as soon as I finish the afghan I am working on now.

I LIKE THIS BAG. I KNIT QUITE A LOT WHEN IT COMES TO CROCHET I DO NOT LIKE THE LOOKS OF THE CHANGING OF THE COLOR YARN ANYONE KNOW HOW TO AVOID THE SEPARATED LINE IT CAUSES?

This is a self-striping material. You can always use a solid or variegated yarn instead. If you want, you can use a variety of colors and stripe at the ends, instead of in a row.

This is my first time using this site and I love it. It is so convenient to browse and save ideas for later with your convenient save option. What a great way to start the morning.

I think the instructions should have said make 2 handles.
